Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Support chefs during meal preparation by following instructions and recipes accurately. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Help with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces. Participate in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service periods. Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely meal service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting. A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks within the culinary field. Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. A passion for cooking and an interest in developing culinary skills further.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
