Job Description

We're looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly, family-run cafe, The Gilbertine Kitchen. No previous experience is needed (although desired) --just a genuine passion for food, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided, and there's plenty of opportunity for personal growth and long-term development within the business. During the week, you'll help with food prep, deep cleaning, and miaintaining the washing-up area. At weekends, you'll support the chef during service and get involved in preparing dishes for our customers. Working hours vary between 8am-4pm Tuesday to Sunday.

The duties and requirements for this position are as follows:

Follow the head chefs prep lists to a high standard Cleaning to a high standard Opening up and cleaning down the kitchen Keep excellent food hygiene practices Create a positive work environment for all staff in line with the company's social policies.
The requirements for a kitchen assistant are as follows:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work calmly under pressure. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
