Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed Support the cooking staff with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and keeping track of food items Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods Participate in catering events as required, assisting with setup and breakdown of food stations

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred Familiarity with cooking techniques and knife skills is a plus Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices Experience in meal preparation or catering is advantageous Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment A passion for the culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
