Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant / Housekeeping Assistant to support our culinary and cleaning operations. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining cleanliness within the kitchen and dining areas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to hygiene standards, and experience in the food industry or restaurant environment. Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients Support meal preparation and cooking activities under supervision Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times Help with serving meals to guests or residents as needed Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning dining areas, kitchens, and common spaces Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment Assist with catering events or special meal services when required

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, catering, or restaurant environments is preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Basic knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation processes Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions accurately Culinary experience or background in the food industry is a plus Excellent teamwork and communication skills Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and housekeeping duties
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
