We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team within a care home. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth running of our culinary activities. Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Stock inventory and rotate food supplies as needed
- Follow all food safety guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure a timely and efficient service
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a care home kitchen or hospitality setting is preferred
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Flexibility to work, weekends, and holidays as required
