Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are adhered to during meal preparation and cooking processes.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
Manage inventory of kitchen supplies, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Oversee the presentation of dishes before serving to ensure quality standards are met.
Assist with catering events as required, providing exceptional service to guests.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food safety practices.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating diverse and flavourful dishes.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
A willingness to help others in the kitchen, fostering a positive team atmosphere.
