As part of our growing team, we are seeking an experienced Kitchen Fitter and Joiner to contribute to our continued success and expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
The Kitchen Fitter and Joiner will be responsible for installing kitchen units, worktops, and appliances according to design specifications, ensuring precise alignment and secure fitting of all components. This role includes fitting and installing kitchen fixtures such as sinks, taps, and lighting, and making necessary adjustments and modifications to achieve a perfect fit. Additionally, the candidate will construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, such as doors, cabinets, and furniture. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the dimensions and materials required, measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand and power tools, and assemble and join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
As part of the property maintenance and improvement team, the Kitchen Fitter and Joiner will perform general property maintenance tasks related to joinery and carpentry. They will assist in the renovation and refurbishment of properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and collaborate with other team members to complete property improvement projects on time and within budget. The candidate will conduct thorough inspections to ensure all work meets high-quality standards and customer satisfaction, and address any issues or defects promptly and professionally.
The role also involves effective communication with clients to understand their requirements and preferences, providing professional advice and solutions to enhance the overall kitchen design and functionality. The candidate must maintain a clean and safe working environment, respecting clients' homes and properties.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Kitchen Fitter and Joiner. Proficiency in using woodworking machinery and tools, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong organizational and time-management skills, and good communication and customer service skills are essential.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods, and working in various environments, including residential and commercial properties.
