Assist with food preparation and cooking under the direction of the head cook
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and the van
Wash dishes and help with general cleaning tasks
Ensure hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards are followed at all times
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
Provide support during service, including assembling orders and handing out meals
Set up and pack down the food van for events and trading days
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is a plus (but not essential)
Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Basic food safety knowledge (Food Handling Certificate preferred or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required

Expected hours: 28 - 30 per week
