Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food preparation and hospitality. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food production, safety, and quality while managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high-quality standards. Implement and enforce food safety regulations and hygiene practices within the kitchen. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen operations. Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order. Assist in creating a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration.

Experience

Proven experience in a kitchen management role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production processes. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen staff. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
