Responsibilities
Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and improve team performance.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes served.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste to maintain budgetary goals.
Collaborate with management on menu development, pricing strategies, and special events.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area at all times.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership practices.
Qualifications
Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry, preferably in quick service or casual dining settings.
Strong culinary skills with a background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and fine dining experience preferred.
Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting practices to manage costs effectively.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management, training & development, and staff supervision.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Experience with restaurant management software including cash handling procedures is advantageous.
