Kitchen Manager - Everards Food & Beer Hall



About the Role




We're looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead a high-performing, high-volume kitchen delivering quality and consistency at pace. You'll bring energy, leadership, and discipline to a fast-moving environment, ensuring a seamless partnership with FOH to create guest delight through consistently amazing dishes.



This is not your average kitchen job--it's a leadership role at the heart of a destination food business serving up to 500+ covers daily, where food quality, operational precision, and team spirit are non-negotiable.

Who You Are



A proven kitchen leader with a minimum of 5 years in high-volume food operations Passionate about amazing food, clean kitchens, and strong people development Calm under pressure, focused on solutions, and relentless in maintaining standards Experienced with inventory systems, food cost control, HACCP, and allergen compliance A team coach, capable of growing future leaders while keeping energy high and waste low

Your Core Responsibilities



Kitchen Operations



Own all kitchen activity: prep, service, stock, close Deliver consistent, spec-perfect food--right portion, right temperature, every time Manage high-volume kitchen throughput with clockwork precision and safety Maintain a clean, legally compliant kitchen 24/7 with complete documentation

Team Leadership



Recruit, develop and retain a strong BOH team Lead with heart and hold with clarity--set expectations, coach daily Work side-by-side with the General Manager and FOH to connect the full guest journey Be the kitchen voice and champion for both hospitality and accountability

Controls & Compliance



Own food safety: Allergen procedures, HACCP logs, EHO readiness Master stock systems: ordering, reconciliation, GP protection, and waste reduction Monitor labour, prep plans, and data to drive performance and productivity Deliver on key KPIs: GP%, audit results, training compliance, waste logs, portion control

Collaboration with FOH



Partner daily with the General Manager and FOH leaders to deliver seamless service Support new menu launches and team training from BOH to front line Role model hospitality values--guest experience starts in the kitchen Elevate TripAdvisor moments by making food memorable and service flawless

Food GP% vs Target Food Safety & Allergen Audit Scores (EHO/Internal) Portion Control & Spec Accuracy Waste Reduction / Stock Variance Logs Menu Rollout Readiness & Team Skill Scores Team Retention & Progression Rates Labour Cost vs Productivity TripAdvisor Mentions (linked to food)
