Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations in a bustling restaurant environment as we are opening a few new sites around Manchester. Training will take place at our main cafe in Ancoats.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food safety, and the ability to manage a team effectively. As the Kitchen Manager, you will ensure that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, ensuring that all food preparation meets our high standards. Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive team environment. Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen. Assist in menu planning and food preparation, contributing creative ideas to enhance our offerings. Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, food safety practices, and equipment usage. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen promptly and effectively.

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen management role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team. Proficiency in food preparation techniques and familiarity with various cooking methods. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on teamwork.
