We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food production and service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence, with a proven track record in managing kitchen staff and maintaining food safety protocols. This role requires a hands-on approach to cooking, food preparation, and supervising team members in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities



Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of performance. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Develop menus in collaboration with the culinary team, focusing on quality and seasonal ingredients. Train new staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and customer service expectations. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with hygiene standards. Implement cost control measures to optimise kitchen efficiency without compromising quality.

Skills



Proven experience in food production and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong management skills with previous supervising experience in a kitchen environment. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and inspire kitchen staff. Culinary experience with a passion for creating diverse menus that cater to various tastes. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation. Experience as a barista is an advantage, enhancing the overall dining experience for customers. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with front-of-house staff and management.
