Duties



Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Oversee daily food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality. Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively. Train and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development within the team. Ensure timely service delivery while maintaining high standards of presentation and taste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service flow and optimise customer satisfaction. Monitor kitchen operations for efficiency, cleanliness, and safety compliance at all times.

Requirements



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations. Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure. Passion for culinary innovation and excellence in service delivery. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 27,500.00-32,000.00 per year
