I'm currently on the lookout for a talented Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to join our team in Thurso. If you have a passion for creating delicious, high-quality dishes and leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment, then this role is perfect for you!
The perfect candidate will be calm, organised and disciplined to ensure consistency and quality is paramount.
As the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, and team management. You will work closely with our front of house management team to ensure that customers receive a top-notch dining experience. Your creativity and attention to detail will be key in helping develop new menu items and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the kitchen team, including hiring and training and coaching new staff
- Developing and implementing menu items that reflect our commitment to fresh ingredients
- Ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented according to established standards
- Monitoring food costs and inventory levels to maximize profitability
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment that complies with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in a similar establishment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- A creative and innovative approach to menu development
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to quality
