Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation for our culinary team. Duties

Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to maintain hygiene standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, such as peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients. Support the kitchen team in organising storage areas and ensuring stock is correctly stored and labelled. Clear workstations and sweep floors regularly to uphold cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations. Support serving staff during busy periods by providing clean crockery and cutlery as needed. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary practices and hospitality services. A positive attitude and team-oriented approach are essential for success in this role.
