We're looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. You'll play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency--ensuring chefs have what they need to deliver exceptional food service.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two shifts are the same. You'll work across dishwashing, food prep support, and general kitchen maintenance, becoming an essential part of our back-of-house operation.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
Keep workstations, floors, and storage areas clean, organised, and safe.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
Ensure equipment is cleaned properly and stored correctly.
Support stock rotation and deliveries, including unloading and organising.
Dispose of waste safely and follow all hygiene and safety procedures.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient service.
Respond to requests from chefs quickly and positively.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar back-of-house role (preferred but not essential).
Strong work ethic and the ability to stay calm in a busy environment.
Good time-management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
Understanding of basic food hygiene--or willingness to learn.
A team-focused attitude with a willingness to support wherever needed.
Flexibility to work weekends and busy service periods.
Reliability, punctuality, and a positive, can-do approach.
