Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our Cricket Club, supporting our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and basic kitchen duties to ensure smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for cleanliness, be reliable, and eager to learn about hospitality and culinary practices. Responsibilities

Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and ensuring station readiness Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas Ensure that workstations are tidy throughout service Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed Support the team during busy periods by helping with serving or other duties as required Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Familiarity with food preparation, cooking processes, and kitchen hygiene standards is advantageous Experience in hospitality or serving roles can be beneficial but is not mandatory; a willingness to learn is most important.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
