We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen environment is clean, organised, and efficient. Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking. Help with the storage and rotation of food items to ensure freshness and compliance with health regulations. Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and well-maintained. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing additional assistance as needed. Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote sustainability within the kitchen.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial for this role. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A passion for culinary arts and an interest in developing skills within the hospitality sector. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
