Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients as directed by the kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as needed. Help maintain stock levels by receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential. A passion for food and hospitality with a willingness to learn new skills in food preparation and cooking. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent teamwork abilities, contributing positively to a collaborative kitchen environment. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling is preferred. Culinary experience or formal training in hospitality is a plus but not mandatory.
