Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised and tidy.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly to support kitchen operations.
Help with the storage of food items and supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation.
Support chefs and cooks during service periods by providing necessary utensils and ingredients.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist with any additional tasks as directed by the head chef or kitchen management.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is beneficial.
A background in hospitality or culinary arts will be considered an asset.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
