Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are upheld. Help in the storage and organisation of food supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food items. Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts to maintain a clean working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic understanding of food preparation techniques is advantageous. Strong work ethic with the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to develop skills within the hospitality industry. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
