Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables as directed by the chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure that all food storage areas are kept clean and organised to meet health and safety regulations. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking tasks as needed. Help with the delivery and storage of supplies, ensuring that stock levels are maintained. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines within the kitchen environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive working atmosphere and efficient service delivery.

Requirements

Previous kitchen experience is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting. A passion for food preparation and cooking, with an eagerness to learn more about culinary practices. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure. Excellent teamwork skills with a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers alike. Experience in hospitality or serving would be advantageous but not essential.
