Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation areas, and upholding high standards of hygiene and safety within our establishment. Duties

Responsible for washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients as directed by chefs or kitchen staff. Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support the kitchen team. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to meet health and safety standards. Ensure all dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools are properly cleaned and stored after use. Support with organisation of stock and ingredients to facilitate efficient workflow. Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold hygiene standards. Help with general cleaning duties within the kitchen area to ensure a hygienic environment at all times. Support serving staff during busy periods when required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates. Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene regulations is preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Willingness to learn new skills and contribute positively to team efforts. Flexibility to work shifts as required within operational hours. All positions are paid accordingly in line with industry standards.
