Lamaya is a Lebanese restaurant coming to the Finzels Reach area to bring our own taste of Lebanon to Bristol. Our food is hand-prepared and based on traditional Lebanese recipes; we also serve some fantastic cocktails and the best homemade sauces with every dish!

A Lamaya kitchen porter plays an essential role in ensuring our kitchen operates effectively. A good candidate can make our kitchen run efficiently and smoothly on a day to day basis, helping our chefs with food preparation and pot wash. Our staff need to be dedicated, dynamic and passionate about their role, and delivering only the best service and personality to our customers.

Kitchen porter staff responsibilities include ensuring our cooking utensils and serving dishes are cleaned thoroughly and quickly, ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times, helping the chefs to maintain high food hygiene standards and complying with food safety management procedures. You will need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we'd like to meet you.

Key Role Responsibilities

- Cleaning and washing of all catering and customer utensils to a high standard

- To ensure the kitchen areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness

- Efficiently work as part of a team, working alongside the chefs and service staff

- Upholding stringent cleaning and health & safety standards

- Ensuring compliance with all food and hygiene standards and requirements

Your main goal and responsibility will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers, build a good reputation, and encourage regular custom.
