We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our chefs here at The New Quay Inn. We're a beautifully traditional little pub full of lovely locals, friendly dogs and a fabulous team.

Can you support the team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently? This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food, being part of a team and playing a part in creating the best pub in Brixham.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies. Dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills and a willingness to learn from others. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
