Job Summary


We are currently seeking one Kitchen Porter to join our team on a permanent basis. The Kitchen Porter will be joining the existing team at The HAPPA Cafe, Black house Lane, Briercliffe, Burnley BB10 3QU.

The role involves supporting the chefs ensuring a clean and orderly kitchen environment.

Main Responsibilities



Keeping all Back of House areas clean and tidy Washing all pots/pans and equipment to highest standards Prioritising the washing of all equipment subject to the needs of the chefs/front of house teams Making sure that cleaning standards are always upheld Following health and safety protocol On occasion assisting the chef with basic kitchen preparations Putting away deliveries correctly Helping Front of House team with glass washing and cutlery polishing Any other task deemed reasonable by the duty manager/supervisor Respecting the HAPPA brand

Preferred skills



Consistently; reliable, punctually with great time keeping skills Good communications skills Experience of working in a similar industry such as food service, catering or hospitality desirable Work well under pressure Ability to adhere to all health & safety practices High levels of personal hygiene and appearance Good organisational skills to maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen Willingness to learn and help with various kitchen duties Strong teamwork skills to support kitchen staff effectively Previous experience in similar role desirable
