Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and functional kitchen environment. This role is essential for ensuring smooth food service operations and upholding high standards of cleanliness and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and food service, with experience in cleaning, food handling, and supporting kitchen activities in fast-paced settings such as restaurants, hotels, catering events, or banquet facilities.

Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients under supervision. Support the catering team during events by bussing tables and helping with setup and breakdown of banquet areas. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, work surfaces, storage areas, and waste disposal. Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels. Support the culinary team with general kitchen duties to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods. Follow all safety and sanitation policies related to food handling and kitchen operations.

Experience

Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred. Experience in bussing tables or supporting banquet events is a plus. Familiarity with food preparation, cleaning procedures, and basic kitchen operations is desirable. Prior roles involving food handling or culinary support will be advantageous. Candidates with hotel or culinary experience are encouraged to apply.
