Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Duties

Responsible for washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients. Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals. Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift. Ensuring waste disposal is managed efficiently and recycling procedures are followed. Restocking supplies and ensuring all kitchen areas are organised and tidy at all times. Assisting with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service shifts.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and general kitchen safety practices is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about culinary processes and hospitality operations.
