The Sticky Wicket are recruiting for an experienced Kitchen Porter to come and join our team.

Based within the grounds of the Seat Unique Riverside cricket venue, home to Durham County Cricket Club. The Sticky Wicket Bar is the home of good sport, great food & live music, it's a great all-rounder, serving great ales and wholesome food, so there's no need to be stumped for choice.

Food plays a significant part at the Sticky Wicket, with delicious home cooked food being served, our aim is to ensure that we bowl over every guest so they come back time and time again.

As part of the kitchen team our Kitchen Porters play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen and front of house teams are supported during all service times, and to ensure that all guests receive the best level of customer service and high-quality dishes.

As the successful Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and restaurant to our exceptionally high standards, washing dishes, cleaning floors, along with providing assistance with food preparation.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with previous experience of working as a Kitchen Porter. You will need excellent time management and organisational skills, be able to demonstrate high standards of cleanliness and work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Please note that due to the location of the venue, the successful applicant will need to be able to reliably commute to and from work.

Part time or full time positions are available and the role will include evening and weekend working.
