Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food items under the guidance of chefs and cooks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies as they arrive. Support chefs during busy service periods by preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean workspace. Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Assist in waste management by disposing of rubbish appropriately and recycling where possible.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced culinary professionals. Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within a team. A genuine interest in hospitality and culinary arts, with aspirations for career development within the industry.
