Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Ensure all kitchen supplies are stocked and readily available for use. Help maintain health and safety standards within the kitchen, adhering to food hygiene regulations. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Dispose of waste correctly and ensure recycling practices are followed. Assist in cleaning down work surfaces and equipment at the end of shifts to maintain a tidy workspace.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for the culinary field is key. A basic understanding of food preparation techniques is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong communication skills and a willingness to help others within the team. A passion for hospitality and a desire to learn more about culinary practices. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.00-12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
