Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and dishes efficiently. Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks as required. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste. Dispose of waste correctly and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A positive attitude towards learning new skills and taking on responsibilities.
