Objectives:
Kitchen porters work as part of a team, but also need to have the initiative to sort out anything as and when it comes up.
Basic Duties:
Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
Wash up pots, pans, trays, utensils, food containers
Assist with food and equipment deliveries.
Keep the storage areas organised - dry store & wash area.
Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised.
Follow cleaning schedules for the kitchen and clean the section and other areas as directed.
Dispose of waste appropriately using company recycle procedures.
Ensure all kitchenware is cleaned and maintained including using all PPE chemicals appropriately.
Report any maintenance issues to Head Chef
Comply with all company PPC's ensuring statutory regulations are observed.
Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers
Complying with all health and safety regulations, hygiene standards and company rules.
Flexible and willing to help other departments.
