We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. Duties
Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to meet health and safety standards
Organising storage areas for ingredients and supplies
Supporting the team during busy service periods by ensuring all necessary items are readily available
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
Restocking supplies and ensuring the kitchen remains tidy throughout shifts
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary processes is a plus
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within a kitchen setting
