Job Introduction

Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced kitchen environment? Sodexo is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team. The KP will be responsible for supporting kitchen operations by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation, ensuring chefs and kitchen teams can operate efficiently and safely during events and service periods.

Main Responsibilities
Cleaning allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems. Ensure adherence to all food safety, health and safety policies, procedures and legislation as defined. Emptying bins, dispose of waste materials from catering areas to designated compactors Operate industrial dishwashers and glasswashers in all catering areas. Transport provisions, equipment and other catering related items as required. Always maintain clean working environment, with special regard to hygiene Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks when needed.

The Ideal Candidate

A team player with a positive attitude. Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment. Good attention to detail and cleanliness. The ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment Strong awareness of cleanliness and hygiene standards Physical ability to stand for long periods and carry out manual tasks Reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude. Previous experience is a plus
