We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness and assisting with food preparation tasks. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within a restaurant or hotel environment.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking. Help with the storage and inventory of kitchen supplies, ensuring all items are properly labelled and stored. Clean kitchen equipment and utensils to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety guidelines to maintain a hygienic working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; we welcome individuals eager to learn. A basic understanding of food preparation techniques is beneficial. Experience in hospitality or culinary roles will be considered an asset. Strong work ethic with a willingness to help others in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.42-12.50 per hour
