Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service, contributing to a high standard of hospitality. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to develop their skills within the hospitality industry.most shifts will consist of 3 or 4 evenings and sunday lunch

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils to uphold hygiene standards Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients for efficient workflow Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times during daily operations Supporting the front of house team during busy service periods to ensure timely food delivery

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of cooking techniques or restaurant experience is a plus Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service is desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Good organisational skills with a proactive approach to cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards Reliable team player with excellent communication skills Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
