We are seeking a dedicated

Kitchen Porter

to join our team and support the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Location:

Bothwell

Contract:

30 hours per week, permanent

Pay:

10.50 - 12.75 per hour, dependent on age and experience

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

Ensure basic cleaning tasks are carried out promptly. Clean food preparation areas and equipment. Keep work surfaces, walls, and floors clean and sanitized. Keep storage areas clean and tidy, including dry stores. Record completed jobs assigned during the workday.

Dishwashing:

Wash dirty dishes, including cutlery, pots, cups, cutting boards, and pans. Rinse dishes and load into the dishwasher, check if resulting dishes are clean. Make sure Dishwasher is kept clean. Remove all food residues including labels from the containers before storing.

Waste Management:

Remove kitchen waste from waste containers and dispose of it properly, preventing grease entering the sinks. Record and clean Greasetrap when assigned.

Equipment Maintenance:

Clean and maintain cooking equipment such as cookers, and food mixers.

Basic Food Preparation:

Assist the Chefs in basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, and washing food items. Support Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff as needed.

Requirements:

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Good teamwork and communication skills. Willingness to take initiative and support kitchen operations as needed. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
