Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The successful candidate will assist with basic food preparation, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties to ensure smooth restaurant or hotel operations. Duties

Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients. Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas. Help with organising stock and ensuring all items are stored correctly and safely. Support with serving duties during busy periods or special events as required. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is essential. Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is desirable. Familiarity with kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different roles within the kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times. This role for 30 hours per week spread across 5 days (Tuesday - Saturday)

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
