We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Prior experience in a hotel, restaurant, or culinary setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Duties

Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support kitchen staff Clean and sanitise all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces to uphold hygiene standards Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware efficiently and promptly Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors and storage spaces Support with organising stock and ingredients to ensure easy access for the team Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations Support serving staff during busy periods by providing necessary assistance when required Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not mandatory Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards cleaning and organisation tasks Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary Strong team player with excellent communication skills Enthusiasm for learning about culinary processes and hospitality operations
