Your responsibilities will include general cleaning duties of the kitchen, including washing equipment, crockery and cutlery whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness at all times. During quiet times, you will get involved in other cleaning duties and assist the chefs with basic food prep.


Key Responsibilities:




Working in the Kitchen Porter area ensuring the section is set up and organised for daily duties, whilst following SOPs, food safety standards, allergen awareness, cleaning processes and procedures are adhered too, in line with the departments risk assessments. Being proactive in dealing with health and safety issues that may arise during your shift, such as floor spills, ensuring they are dealt with promptly by using appropriate signage and resolving the issue or reporting to any concerns to your manager. Every person in the kitchen team has a responsibility for health and safety Ensuring opening & closing checklists are complete to ensure the kitchen is always ready for the next shift Taking direction from the kitchen team, following instruction when given. Basic food preparation jobs as directed by the kitchen team. Liaise with senior chefs regarding stock levels of cleaning chemicals and products, to ensure sufficient stock levels. Taking pride in your work ensuring you are always 100% happy with everything you do, always ask yourself would you eat of that plate? Working as part of a team in a busy kitchen ensuring the use of good communication skills and being able to thrive under pressure, whilst remaining calm and collected. You will play an integral part in contributing to maintaining kitchen hygiene at all times, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed and COSHH is adhered to at all times. Ensure you are using the supplied PPE when dealing with chemicals or when required during delay duties. Do all the above whilst following the core values of Rudding Park
