About the Role:

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable

Kitchen Porter

to join our busy hospitality team. You will play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and supporting chefs, maintaining high cleanliness standards, and ensuring all areas are safe, organised, and ready for service. Your work helps the whole team deliver exceptional food and great customer experiences.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To provide essential support in the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, and ensuring equipment and work areas meet high standards of hygiene and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen and back-of-house areas. Wash and store all crockery, cutlery, utensils, and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Support the kitchen team by ensuring equipment and prep areas are always ready for use. Handle deliveries, unpack stock, and rotate supplies following FIFO procedures. Assist chefs with basic food preparation as required. Dispose of waste correctly and keep recycling areas tidy. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to your supervisor. Uphold company standards and contribute to a positive team environment.

Hygiene, Health & Safety:

Follow all cleaning schedules and hygiene procedures. Maintain excellent personal hygiene and wear the correct uniform and PPE at all times. Ensure chemicals are used safely and cleaning materials are stored correctly. Follow all food safety, health, and safety procedures in line with company policy.

Teamwork & Communication:

Work closely with chefs, supervisors, and front-of-house teams to support smooth service. Communicate clearly and respond quickly to kitchen needs. Show a positive, can-do attitude and always ready to help where needed. Attend team meetings and training sessions to keep skills up to date.

A strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen. Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude. Commitment to high hygiene and safety standards. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.

Schedule:

Flexible shifts, Monday to Sunday Weekend availability required
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-14.50 per hour
