We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our highly professional Care team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary operations by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-stocked. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the Care sector.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils thoroughly and efficiently.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the cook.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Support cooks during busy service periods by providing assistance where required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or Care environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A keen interest in food preparation is preferred.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards helping others.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen and care staff.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
