We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient environment. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations and upholding high standards of hygiene and safety. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and an interest in hospitality and food service. Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary setting is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Duties
Wash, clean, and sanitise all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met
Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
Support serving staff during busy periods by clearing tables and assisting with basic service duties when required
Qualifications
Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards is advantageous
Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or other hospitality environments is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to work well within a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during busy service periods
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations
