Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and in good working order.
Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation.
Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the kitchen management promptly.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
