We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the kitchen staff. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in a hotel environment while contributing to exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area by washing dishes, pots, and utensils promptly. Support chefs during service by ensuring that all necessary ingredients and equipment are readily available. Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards. Help with the storage of food items and ensure proper stock rotation to minimise waste. Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment and deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential. A passion for food preparation and cooking is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards learning from experienced culinary professionals. Familiarity with health and safety regulations within a kitchen setting is an advantage.
