We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist with basic food preparation and ensure all kitchen areas are hygienic and well-stocked. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the hospitality industry. The Kitchen Porter will play a vital role in supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality service to our guests.
Duties
Wash, scrub, and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils to maintain cleanliness standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients.
Support the organisation of kitchen supplies and ensure stock levels are maintained.
Clear workstations and ensure the kitchen is tidy throughout the shift.
Assist with cleaning kitchen appliances and surfaces regularly to uphold health and safety regulations.
Support the delivery of excellent customer service by maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for staff and guests.
Skills
Previous experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations is desirable.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail when handling cleaning duties and food hygiene practices.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during service hours.

Pay: Up to 12.24 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
