Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to meet hygiene standards Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed Support the organisation of stock and supplies in the kitchen storage areas Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times Assist with setting up dining areas for service when required Support the team during busy periods to ensure smooth service delivery

Skills

Experience or familiarity with food preparation and cooking is advantageous but not essential Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is desirable Good organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong team player with excellent communication skills Willingness to learn new skills related to hospitality and culinary operations Knowledge of health and safety standards within a kitchen setting is beneficial
