reliable, experienced Kitchen Porter

to help keep our high-performance kitchen running at its best.

What you'll be doing:



Responsible for deep cleaning kitchen equipment, appliances, and workspaces Maintain spotless cleanliness across prep and cooking areas Wash trays, utensils, and tools to a high standard Ensure hygiene standards are met daily Work as part of a supportive, fast-paced kitchen team

Who we're looking for:



Minimum 1 year of experience in a KP or cleaning role in a commercial kitchen Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness Reliable, hard-working and proactive -- you take pride in your role Comfortable working in a busy food production environment Flexible to help where needed in the kitchen

Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a vibrant food production environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field within a restaurant or hotel setting.

Duties



Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and dishes efficiently. Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks as required. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained according to health and safety regulations. Do daily/weekly deep cleaning of kitchen. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste. Support the kitchen team by assisting where needed. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications



Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary environment is essential. A strong willingness to learn and help within a team-oriented atmosphere. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy production days. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork. Understanding of basic food hygiene practices is preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the operational needs of the establishment.
